Frímann is Iceland's largest association and vacation management system, serving 185,000+ active members across the country's unions and member organizations. After 20 years in operation, we're leading a comprehensive redesign of the entire platform -- from member portals and vacation property booking to travel vouchers, a marketplace, and grant management. The system handles everything unions need: property management with a powerful rule builder, member profiles synced with national payroll systems, payment processing, and vendor portals. All secured through Iceland's national electronic ID and built to be fully responsive and bilingual.
Prototyping Every Function
With an enterprise platform this large, nothing gets built without being prototyped first. We've created hundreds of interactive prototypes covering every module across both the admin and user-facing interfaces -- from booking flows and grant applications to marketplace listings and association management.
Each prototype is reviewed in weekly sessions with the team, iterated on, and validated before any development begins. This approach eliminates guesswork and keeps a complex, multi-module system coherent and usable at every level.
Style Guide
A structured color system anchored by Frímann's signature blue, with a full neutral greyscale, semantic colors for success, warning, and error states at multiple opacities, and a warm coral gradient for accents and illustrations.
