Eggert Ragnarsson

Eggert Ragnarsson is a designer and founder of Denorth, based between Boston and Reykjavík. He grew up in Húsavík, Iceland, before moving to Reykjavík as a teenager. There, he began working at Merking, where he took his first steps in design. He later studied graphic design at Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence. After graduating, he taught web and motion design at the school, becoming one of its youngest instructors.

After living in Italy for over four years, Eggert returned to Iceland and joined the advertising agency Ó! He later founded Denorth, working with a diverse range of Icelandic companies on digital products and websites.

In 2010, America's Test Kitchen recruited Eggert from Iceland and relocated him to Boston, where he led the company's digital design. Four years later, he joined TripAdvisor as a Design Director. Following TripAdvisor's acquisition of Bókun, he became Design Director of Bókun. He spent a total of eight years at TripAdvisor.

In 2022, Eggert relaunched Denorth with a focus on product design for SaaS solutions. His work has since included collaborations with teams at Volvo, BrandRank, and Frímann, as well as building Ubezon, a software platform for managing deliveries.

Eggert is a dual US and Icelandic citizen. Today, he is co-owner and Design Director of Frímann and co-founder of Ubezon, a delivery platform available in 13 countries.
